Transaction in own shares

ICAP plc announces that on 7 February 2012 it purchased for cancellation 500,000 of its 10p ordinary shares at a price of 386.8934 pence per ordinary share as part of its ongoing capital management.

Following this cancellation, the total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held in treasury) is 646,061,989. The Company holds 18,294,235 ordinary shares as Treasury Shares.
