The number of shares purchased for cancellation was 325,000, not 350,000 as originally stated

Compass Group PLC announces that on 24 August 2012 it purchased for cancellation 325,000 ordinary shares at a price of 712.2800 pence per share through Morgan Stanley Securities Limited.
