3 February 2014 Daily Mail and General Trust plc (`DMGT') Transaction in own shares DMGT has today transferred out of treasury 903 A Ordinary Non-Voting shares (AShares) at a price of £9.615 in order to make an award of shares to meet thevesting of an award to a participant in the 2009 DMGT Long Term Incentive Plan.The share price was that at the close of business on Friday 31 January 2014 inaccordance with the Plan Rules. Following this transfer, the total number of A Shares held in treasury is20,297,512 and the total number of A Shares in issue after deducting sharesheld in treasury is 353,568,045.
