SUBJECT: Transaction in own securities
On 19 December 2008 F&C Commercial Property Trust Limited ('the Company') purchased 14,500,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p at a price of 64.0p per share. 4,000,000 shares were bought back to be held in treasury and 10,500,000 shares were bought back for cancellation.
Following this purchase the Company's issued share capital consists of 753,082,016 ordinary shares of which 72,545,013 ordinary shares are held in treasury. The total number of shares with voting rights in the Company is 680,537,003.
The above figure (680,537,003) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
