The Company announces that, on 30 June 2010, it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each. The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Highest price paid per share: 766.00 pence

Lowest price paid per share: 754.00 pence

Volume weighted average price paid per share: 759.75 pence

Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 753,107 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 134,104,076 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
