Diageo PLC07 August 2006 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit SuisseSecurities (Europe) Limited 450,000 ordinary shares at a price of 916.85 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 264,317,304 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,786,662,941.
