Transaction in own shares

John Menzies PLC announces that, on 07 January 2011, it purchased through Numis Securities Limited 15,000 ordinary shares of 25p each at an average price of 470 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 726,406 ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of 59,614,367 ordinary shares of 25p each (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue. The number of ordinary shares purchased represented approximately 0.02% of the voting rights attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue prior to such purchases.
