Transaction in Own shares

Park Plaza Hotels Limited announces that on 29 September 2009, it purchased 862,000 of its ordinary shares at a price of 111p per share. The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury. 

Following the purchase of these shares, Park Plaza holds 862,000 ordinary shares in treasury and has a total of 40,815,292 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
