Tate & Lyle PLC Transaction in Own Shares Tate & Lyle PLC ("the Company") announces that on 23 May 2008 it transferred154,575 ordinary shares in the Company for the purpose of satisfying exercisesunder the 2003 Performance Share Plan. These shares were previously held inTreasury.
