BP p.l.c. announces that on 15 March 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 457,766 ordinary shares at prices between 446.00 pence and 621.70 pence. These shares were previously held as treasury shares.

Following the above transaction, BP p.l.c. holds 1,867,147,306 ordinary shares in Treasury, and has 18,772,015,726 ordinary shares in issue (excluding Treasury shares).
