Diageo PLC18 July 2006 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit SuisseSecurities (Europe) Limited 550,000 ordinary shares at a price of 895.94 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 258,353,051 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,792,627,194.
