Share Repurchase Programme
Centrica plc announces that on 18 December 2013, it purchased (through UBS Limited) 907,185 (nine hundred and seven thousand, one hundred and eighty five) Centrica plc ordinary shares at an average price of 328.4885 pence per share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares were 333.80 pence and 323.50 pence respectively.
The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. As at the date of this announcement, Centrica plc holds 116,044,044 ordinary shares in treasury and has 5,083,885,648 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
This completes the £500 million share repurchase programme announced by Centrica plc on 4 February 2013. As announced by the Company on 18 December 2013, a £420 million extension to this programme will be conducted over the course of 2014.
