Imperial Tobacco has today, 29 January 2014, purchased 110,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2194.64 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2233 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2183 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 104,182,165 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 963,760,716.
