Purchase of own shares

Compass Group PLC announces that on 11 February 2016 it purchased 50,000 ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each at a price of 1174.5148 pence per share through Barclays Capital Securities Limited.

Compass Group PLC intends to hold the purchased ordinary shares in treasury.

Following the above transaction, Compass Group PLC holds 12,647,557 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 1,644,129,825 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
