Sports Direct International Plc05 October 2007 Sports Direct International plc Transaction in Own Shares Sports Direct International Plc ("Sports Direct") today acquired, throughKaupthing Singer & Friedlander Capital Markets Ltd, 975,000 of its ordinaryshares at an average price of 135.17 pence per ordinary share. 859,099 of thepurchased shares today will all be held as treasury shares. The remaining115,901 ordinary shares purchased today will be held for cancellation. Following the above purchase, Sports Direct holds 72,000,000 ordinary shares astreasury shares.
