Ferrexpo PLC announces that on 18 September 2008 it purchased 550,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 167.2620 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, Ferrexpo PLC holds 24,163,814 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 589,804,142 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
