Purchase of own securities

Imperial Tobacco has today, 22 November 2013, purchased 375,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2367.37 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2380 pence per share and the lowest 2359 pence per share.

The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 99,868,532 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 968,074,349.
