Pennon Group PLC13 August 2007 Pennon Group Plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit Suisse(Securities) Europe Limited 167,000 ordinary shares at a price of 588.43 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held in treasury. Following the above purchaseand non-cancellation of such equity shares, Pennon Group Plc will hold 3,138,909ordinary shares in treasury and a total of 352,025,365 ordinary shares will bein issue (excluding shares to be held in treasury).
