Purchase of own shares

 

 

M&G plc (the "Company") announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each through Goldman Sachs International on the London Stock Exchange in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 26 May 2021 (the "Purchase"). The Purchase was affected pursuant to instructions issued by M&G on 23 March 2022, as announced on 24 March 2022.

Aggregate number of ordinary shares purchased:

2,403,365

Lowest price paid per share:

1.7855

Highest price paid per share:

1.8075

Average price paid per share:

1.7980

 

The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

 

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 26,867,908 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 2,347,844,213 shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

 

These purchases are the last purchases to be made under the programme between the Company, on the one hand, and Goldman Sachs International, on the other hand, announced on the 24 March 2022, and that the programme has been completed in accordance with its terms.
