CRH PLC20 March 2008 20th March 2008 SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME CRH plc announces that on 19th March 2008, UBS Limited purchased, on behalf ofthe Company, 235,049 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between€23.798 and • 24.25 per Ordinary Share. The purchased shares will be held asTreasury Shares. CRH plc also announces that on 19th March 2008 it transferred to participants inits employee share schemes 33,642 Ordinary Shares at prices between €12.6416 and€19.68 per Ordinary Share and at £12.38 per Ordinary Share. Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 7,720,631 Ordinary Shares inTreasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is539,506,563.
