Diageo PLC01 June 2006 Diageo plc 1 June 2006 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through Goldman SachsInternational 600,000 ordinary shares at a price of 879.65 pence per share. Thepurchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 241,149,652 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,809,825,516.
