Imperial Tobacco has today, 30 January 2014, purchased 106,706 ordinary shares at an average price of 2175.70 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2193 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2162 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 104,288,871 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 963,654,010.
