Transaction in Own Shares

 

The Company announces that on 5th December 2008 it purchased 406,720 of its ordinary shares at a price of 520.24 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 

 

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 1,514,962 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 287,010,903.
