Transaction in Own Shares

RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 30th March 2011 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 14,957 Ordinary Shares at share prices between €11.8573 and €16.483 and at share prices between £8.1694 and £14.4903 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,142,442 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,366,471.
