Pennon Group PLC13 September 2007 Pennon Group Plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit Suisse(Securities) Europe Limited 100,000 ordinary shares at a price of 604.38 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held in treasury. Following the above purchaseand non-cancellation of such equity shares, Pennon Group Plc will hold 5,347,100ordinary shares in treasury and a total of 349,817,174 ordinary shares will bein issue (excluding shares to be held in treasury). Pennon Group has this weekissued out of treasury 10,452 ordinary shares which have been deducted from thenumber of shares held in treasury set out above.
