National Express Group PLC17 May 2005 NATIONAL EXPRESS GROUP PLC SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME National Express Group Plc announces that on 17 May 2005 it purchased 200,000 ofits ordinary shares at a price of 864.9675 pence per share. It is intended thatthese shares will be held in Treasury. Following the purchase, National Express Group Plc holds 400,000 of its ordinaryshares in Treasury and has a total of 137,180,083 ordinary shares (excludingshares held in Treasury) in issue.
