Transaction in Own Shares

Rathbone Brother Plc (the "Company") announces that on 30 June 2011 it purchased 20,000 ordinary shares at a price of 1118.528 pence per share in accordance with the authority granted to it by shareholders at its Annual General Meeting. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, the Company holds 20,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 43,475,788 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
