Qatar Investment Fund plc (the "Company") announces that on 30 December 2013 it purchased 10,000 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD 1.1225.

Following the above purchases, the Company holds 7,018,574 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 173,436,638 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

The above figure of 173,436,638 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
