Grainger PLC20 August 2007 Grainger plc Transaction in own shares Grainger plc announces that on 17 August 2007 it purchased through JP MorganCazenove Limited 50,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company forcancellation at a price of 497.3 pence per share. Following this cancellation ofshares the Company's total issued share capital (excluding 500,000 shares heldas Treasury Shares) will be 128,665,990.
