Transaction in Own Shares
Tate & Lyle PLC ("the Company") announces that on 12 June 2009 it transferred at nil cost 1,557 ordinary shares in the Company for the purpose of satisfying a release under the 2005 Deferred Bonus Share Plan. These shares were previously held in Treasury.
Following the above transfer, the Company holds 834,027 ordinary shares in treasury and has 459,178,774 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
