Tate & Lyle PLC Transaction in Own Shares Tate & Lyle PLC ("the Company") announces that on 4 September 2008 ittransferred 5,237 ordinary shares in the Company for the purpose of satisfyingexercises under the 2000 Executive Share Option Scheme. These shares werepreviously held in Treasury. The highest transfer price per share was 335.75p and the lowest transfer priceper share was 286p.
