Transaction in Own Shares
Caledonia Investments plc (the "Company") announces that it has given an irrevocable instruction to J.P. Morgan Cazenove to purchase its ordinary shares under the authority to purchase shares approved by shareholders on 23 July 2009. Any shares purchased will be held in treasury.
The instruction is valid from 1 October 2009 until 24 November 2009, being the close period prior to the release on 25 November 2009 of the announcement of the Company's half-year results for the six months ending 30 September 2009.
Any purchases will be effected within certain pre-set parameters and in accordance with both the Company's general authority to purchase its shares and Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules and any trading decisions will be made by J.P. Morgan Cazenove independently of, and uninfluenced by, the Company.
The Company confirms that it currently has no Company unpublished price sensitive information.
