Vodafone Group Plc10 January 2006 VODAFONE GROUP PLC CLOSE PERIOD SHARE PURCHASES Vodafone Group Plc ("Vodafone") announces today that on 9 January 2006 itinstructed Law Debenture Corporate Services Limited to deliver irrevocableinstructions to a number of banks to purchase shares on its behalf during theperiod relating to the publication of its key performance indicators whichstarts on 10 January 2006 and ends on the day that the key performanceindicators are announced which is expected to be on 24 January 2006 (the "ClosePeriod"). The purchase of shares in the Close Period pursuant to theirrevocable instructions will be effected in accordance with the authoritygranted to Vodafone at its Annual General Meeting on 26 July 2005.
