Old Mutual PLC29 February 2008 Old Mutual plc Ref 53/0829 February 2008 Transaction in Own Shares Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 28 February 2008 it purchasedthrough Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch and Deutsche Securities (Pty) Limited atotal of 4,505,203 of the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each. 1,900,000 of these shares were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at anaverage price of 129.78 pence per share and 2,605,203 shares were acquired onthe JSE Limited at an average price of ZAR 19.5050 per share. The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company's current issuedshare capital is now 5,321,758,223 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the188,631,378 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
