Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 24 October 2012 it purchased 15,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 98 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 98 pence. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 970,031 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,195,903 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
