Kazakhmys PLC announces that on 31 October 2011 it purchased from J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd. 103,392 ordinary shares at an average price of 967.1884 pence per share. The highest price paid was 997.0 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 933.0 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Kazakhmys PLC holds 1,762,368 ordinary shares in treasury and has 533,477,970 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
