Pennon Group PLC16 August 2007 Pennon Group Plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit Suisse(Securities) Europe Limited 330,000 ordinary shares at a price of 554.85 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held in treasury. Following the above purchaseand non-cancellation of such equity shares, Pennon Group Plc will hold 3,888,909ordinary shares in treasury and a total of 351,275,365 ordinary shares will bein issue (excluding shares to be held in treasury).
