Old Mutual PLC12 October 2007 Old Mutual plc Ref 62/07 12 October 2007 Transaction in Own Shares Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 11 October 2007 it purchasedthrough Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limited a total of 1,500,000 of theCompany's ordinary shares of 10p each. All of these shares were acquired on the JSE Limited at an average price of ZAR24.66 per share. The purchased shares will be held in treasury.
