BP PLC16 August 2007 BP p.l.c. - Transaction in Own SharesBP p.l.c. - 16 August 2007 BP p.l.c. announces that on 15 August 2007, it purchased for cancellation1,860,000 ordinary shares at prices between 533.5 pence and 543.5 pence pershare. BP p.l.c. also announces that on 15 August 2007 it transferred to participantsin its employee share schemes 15,794 ordinary shares at prices between 350.0pence and 500.0 pence. These shares were previously held as treasury shares. Following the above transactions, BP p.l.c. holds 1,943,688,916 ordinary sharesin Treasury, and has 19,069,942,431 ordinary shares in issue (excluding Treasuryshares).
