TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 17 March 2011 it transferred 1,548 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 620 pence.
Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 4,548,277 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 145,126,096 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
