Imperial Tobacco has today, 7 January 2014, purchased 150,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2322.12 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2347 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2310 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 104,383,532 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 963,559,349.
