RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES 

CRH plc announces that on 2nd December 2009 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 11,329 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.8573 and €20.8833 and at prices between £9.9137 and £14.1386 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 12,851,276 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 697,634,644.
