Diageo PLC20 June 2005 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through CSFB Europe Ltd 650,000ordinary shares at a price of 808.22 pence per share. The purchased shares willall be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 83,565,000 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,966,798,888.
