Transaction in Own Shares
Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 16 May 2008 it purchased through Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limited a total of 237,077 of the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each.
All of these shares were acquired on the JSE Limited at an average price of ZAR 17.9885 per share.
The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company's current issued share capital is now 5,275,572,975 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the 238,117,617 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
