RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 23rd June 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 82,184 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.9565 and €18.3946 per Ordinary Share and at prices between £11.1630 and £16.7806 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,891,554 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 707,902,957.
