Greggs plc announces that on 24 August 2010 it purchased 127,647 ordinary shares of 0.02p each in the Company for cancellation at the highest price of £4.39 per share and at the lowest price of £4.339 per share.

Following this cancellation of shares, the Company's total issued share capital will be 102,862,823.
