Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 10 October 2012 it purchased from J.P. Morgan Securities plc 11,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 1539.45 pence per share. The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital includes 56,830,301 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
