Grainger PLC11 January 2008 Grainger plc Transaction in own shares Grainger plc announces that on 10 January 2008, it purchased through JP Morgan Cazenove Limited 300,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 326.83 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares and it is intended that the shares will be used to satisfy the requirements of the Group's employee share schemes. Following the above purchase, Grainger plc holds 452,912 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 128,238,277.
