Enterprise Inns PLC30 April 2007 30 April 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation300,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 639.25 pence per ordinaryshare. The highest price paid was 642.5 pence per share and the lowest price paid was626.5 pence per share. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable instruction given prior to,and as announced by Enterprise Inns on, 30 March 2007. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is540,406,387. Of these 11,399,597 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
