Meggitt announces that today it has purchased for treasury from Merrill Lynch International the following numbers of its ordinary shares of five pence each:

Highest price paid per share (pence):

Lowest price paid per share (pence):
| 498.5 |
Following settlement of the above purchase, the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 778,636,362 (excluding treasury shares). Meggitt holds 590,041 shares in treasury.
